Other dinasties as interesting as The Tudors

I be never heard of a dynasty as fascinating and interesting as the Tudors.
Especially Henry VIII his six wifes and his children Elizabteh Mary and His only son.

But I'd like to know about other families as ineteresting as them.
It doesn't have to be in England it can be another Monarchy from another country.

Do you have a fascination with royals of the sordid sleazy type? Because if that is so, then King Juan Carlos of Spain will not interest you.

Yes
I'm guilty of this
Watching their stories, are like watching real life soap Operas.
Don't you think?

Egypt's 18th Dynasty.

You should read the story of JCI of Spain; his biography is full of high drama that rises above the usual level of soap opera. Particularly impressive was his performance in Feb 1981, when he practically singlehandedly stopped a coup d' e'tat.

Wooow
Thank you so much
I will look for it, looks really interesting

I saw the movie Catherine the great CZJs version ,
I have to Catherine The great was a really interesting queen(I wonder if her parents were as ineterstiing as she was)
Catherine reminded a lot to Elizabeth Tudor.

Both Ladies Rouled Alone and refused to get married , Catherine for a second time of cousre (Catherine at the Begining was forced to get married with the The Empress Elizabeth's horrible and Cruel nephew Peter )

Honestly I can't blame both ladies for not wanting to get married, catherine for the hell she she lived when she was married with Peter and Elizabeth watched so many woman die during her father's Kingdom.

Right on, picklepossum. Many Plantagenets were bad rulers but interesting and this dynasty ruled from 1153-1485.

I agree. It would be great to see a series made about them.

I beg to differ

the time line you give is because
henry 2 plantagenet was king of england through his mother

the fact is she was the true heir of the crown and she was the cause for her son to become king
there was no coup
henry her son was the legitimate grandson of henri the 1st of england

so you have rather to say it was the rollonide dynasty from 911 to 1485
rollo of normandy till the conqueror as its duks then kings from 1066 to 1485

as bosworth was not a peaceful succession like for example anne stuart or elizabeth tudor handing the crown to their cousins jame stuart of scotland or george of hanover

1066-1485 yes an interesting dynasty
