Anything ever happen that made you a believer?

Before this happened I was a disbeliever. When I was working I started dating a girl from work. She eventually moved in with me. She was there maybe 4 or 5 days when I saw a figure in the bedroom doorway. Thought I was seeing things and woke my girlfriend up and said do you see that. She said yes its just my grandmother checking up on me. She then went back to sleep. The next day I asked her about it and she told me her grandmother passed away two years ago and ever since wherever she lived her grandmother would be there watching over her. The figure appeared about once every 3 weeks. After a year sadly her mother fell sick. She lived in another state. My girlfriend wanted to be with her mother so she quit her job and went to live with her mother. From the day she moved out I never again saw that figure in my house again.

That's creepy. I have never had an experience that made me a believer. A lot of friends and family say they have had experiences with ghosts or the supernatural though. There are times I wish I did have something happen so I could believe, but then I end up freaking myself out about possibly seeing something truly freaky. The closest I ever got was once when I was a kid I was home alone and had an intense feeling that someone was watching me. It was so strong that I ended up leaving and going to a friends house until I knew my sister would be home. Not sure I would classify that as a ghostly visit or supernatural though.

I really liked that girl and am sad her Mom got sick but I don't think I could have ever gotten used to her grandmother in my house.

No kidding. That would have freaked me out every time I saw it.

I've had a handful of experiences over the years in a home that I had lived in since 1969. I recently moved out. When I was younger I was a total skeptic about supernatural phenomena and would always seek out a nuts and bolt explanation whenever I heard a story. I still believe its important to maintain a healthy skepticism especially in this day and age where we are saturated with wild speculation. That said you are not alone in having had an experience.

That’s a wild story! I’m a believer but that would freak me out.
