Fascinating New Book

(Correction: author's name is spelled "Ouellet".)

Illuminations by Eric Quellet explores the extremely likely link between some UFOs and parapsychology. I'm not quite halfway through it, and am finding it very intriguing and engrossing, with its use of Jungian concepts and MPI (Model of Pragmatic Information) as means for uncovering the real nature of some significant types of UFO experiences.

Correction: author's name is spelled Ouellet.

The book was "right up my alley", at least 80% of it. I felt that the author sometimes took his theory to silly lengths, e.g., when, in his attempt to para-psychologize the UFO, maintains that Barney Hill's perception of the White Mountain saucer was in part a distorted image of a 60s Freedom Rider bus, which represented a projection of Hill's racial anxieties. Otoh, Ouellet is more often quite deft enough in his drawing associations between the Jungian unconscious and certain aspects of UFOs as a meaningful visionary phenomenon.
