I've often thought it would be great if the United States took over the world with the world's consent (and the world's donations), but that's just not going to happen. An empire of liberty is just something that most adults don't seem to want. At the end of the day, the best nation (and possibly the only superpower) is still just another nation. Not to mention, that what government could ever really be trusted? They're all morally weak in some way. An "MCP", a "Skynet", a "Matrix" or an "ARIA" would be amoral and fair, but is that what is right for humanity? I do not know.
