"L'enfant de Paris" - a question


Other than certain aspects of the melodrama, I really enjoyed this pre-"Birth of a Nation" feature. Its underplayed acting, atmospheric lighting, complex set design, etc., showed as much of an understanding of the young medium as with Griffith.

I wonder, though, if this was meant to be, or shown as, as serial (in spite of the notion not being mentioned in any source reading). It's structured around numbered episodes, which doesn't itself mean much, but I still wondered.

Any ideas or answers?
