I'm a big fan of Cary Grant for his physical comedy. I can't remember all of his gags offhand, but one that comes to mind is a scene in "My Favorite Wife" where he sees his presumed-dead wife in the lobby of the hotel where he's on honeymoon with his brand new wife. He spots her just as the elevator door starts to close. There's this great trombone slide as the door closes, and Grant moves his head in perfect sync with the closing door.
You really have to see it to fully get it...
I don't remember that particular scene, but love that movie and agree that his gags were great. Just saw "His Girl Friday" recently and the movie was replete with them.
