Explain how they do this effect (In action movies)

So I sometimes watch action movies. I was wondering how they make this effect: When the main character is on top of a building and he or she slides down the side of the building, so it looks slanted. How do they do that?

We build a set that has a slant in it... It looks just like the building , and we take visual plate shots of the surrounding area and track them into the shot... kinda like... Old school bat man and robin type stuff...
