What movie first truly *sold* a super-powered punch?
I have a strong suspicion about this one, but I'd love to get other people's take on this question. So here it is:
Superheroes have been in movies for 70+ years. For most of those years, Hollywood struggled to figure out how to show super-strength in fights, relying mostly on having the characters literally throw each other around.
It seems to me that only fairly recently have they figured out how to actually *sell* a super-powered punch so that it looks believable.
Any thoughts on when that was? What movie first came up with a good way to do it?
