The only movies worth watching on non-premium TV networks are...

...made-for-tv-movies. Otherwise, why bother, if every good network is going to ruin them with commercial interruptions?! And, chopped-up films to boot! Ugh!!

AMC does that now, ABC Family is guilty, as is Hallmark, and a whole string of other channels. But, I say why bother? I personally never watch such a butchered waste of time, and I know I'm not alone.

Those networks would be better off sticking with original programing, already made to accommodate commercials. Cause I can't imagine viewers would waste their time on those chopped-up movie travesties!

OWN is one of the latest networks to make the mistake of showing cut movies (or, seemingly cut movies) with commercials. Why would Oprah do that to her network??? Every Thursday night is called "OWN's Night at the Movies"---so, she should air them commercial-free, uncut, and make it a real home-theater kind of experience---if she actually wants me to tune in. Otherwise, I'll just turn to Netflix!

Don't get me wrong, I understand the need for commercials. But, since commercials are already shown between programs and during TV shows, the least the networks can do is make an exception for the special movie nights---otherwise, it's a waste of channel space!

Anyone else get annoyed with channels airing movies, like I do?

I am the movies I love! (^_^)

Turner Classics(TCM)is the only non-premium channel left that shows uncut & uninterrupted films. I love the underground films on Fridays and the silent & foreign films on Sundays. TCM is the only reason I still have satellite TV.

You're going to be a winner; just don't shiver. A winner doesn't shiver.
