A+E needs to change their network name

Because there is nothing artistic or entertaining about this network anymore. About 10 or 15 years ago, they used to air reruns of "Law & Order", "Murder, She Wrote" and other former network programs. They used to have musical specials like "Live By Request" and original movies like "Horatio Hornblower". Now, they've gotten sucked into the whole reality programming and started airing trash like "Dog, The Bounty Hunter", "Hoarders" and other programs like it. My suggestion for a network name would be White Trash TV for The Bounty Hunter channel, since he seems to own that network. JMO.

Oh, you got that right all right!

hmmm Even a few years back - before all of that horrid reality business set in - A&E sacrificed all of the art and entertaiment for gruesome slaughter, right?

"Murder, She Wrote" wasn't gory and vile enough for them - and so they had to cancel it in favor of things that cannot be described before the faint of heart.

But now - it's even a lot more horrid all right with all of that worthless trash TV and stuff!

Whenever a network stops referring to itself by its full name and exclusively goes for a "hip" shortened, initials-only name--that's your clue that they've completely abandoned the channel's original concept. A&E hasn't stood for "Arts & Entertainment" since the late 90s/early 00s. Just like AMC is no longer about American Movie Classics and MTV is no longer about Music Television. The newest example: CN--once stood for Cartoon Network, and now airing live-action comedies and weekend showings of "Mrs Doubtfire". I give it about two years, then probably about 15-20% of that network's programming will be actual "cartoons".

Yeah, they're dead, they're--all messed up.

Agree 100%. Also with "The History Channel". They should just call this station the "Used to be History Channel"

These once great stations now cater to retard redneck trash lowest common denominator idiots :-)
