So, how Sundance Channel works..

.. is you pay as much as any premium channel a month, like HBO or Showtime.. you get one channel only, usually playing some independent movie.. there's barely anything on OnDemand.. but you will get commercials, like any regular network. Nice racket.

Other than the terrific show "Rectify", which I got it for, this seems like a huge ripoff. Can anyone defend it or explain what I'm missing?

Anytime there's an HBO/Starz/Showtime free preview on DirecTV, Sundance Channel seems to be a part of it.

And like the IFC (I for "independent") channel, they apparently like to show movies that are more mainstream more frequently.

Why do we feel it's necessary to yak about bullsh!t in order to be comfortable?

Sundance is included in my Brighthouse package. Yes, I'd have to pay for HBO etc. but I got Sundance for free.

My friend told me about Rectify and I pulled it up on demand and watched it at my leisure.

I liked Rectify, but I felt kinda left hanging. The season didn't seem complete. Or perhaps I just wanted more.

I hate these long hiatus' they take all the time. Me no like! Grrr. Wish they'd stop that.
