Any network NOT showing reality shows?

Its ridiculous! There are frickin "reality" show garbage on nearly every channel nowadays..including History Channel, sci-fy, TV land, all 4 networks, and TLC..there are many others..but i would like at least 1 freakin channel that i can watch without constant bombardment at the bottom of the screem for some reality show

Isnt TLC and History all reality shows?? Comedy Central I dont believe has a reality show on it. TBS and TNT are reality show free. FX is without a reality show. So that's 4 on basic cable.

I'll be happy when and if RS run their course. I rather watch the Animal, or Undersea Kingdom than this mindless crap. Television could be such an educational tool. What a decadent, self centered, trivial society we've allowed ourselves to become.

I agree..whats wrong with people who want to go on tv to look like superficial jerks..why would anyone want to do that?

Reality shows are cheap to produce. You should see the pennies they throw at the people to make complete asses of themselves on national TV. How gauche.

Any network NOT showing reality shows?

Yes.

It would depend on how exactly you're defining reality shows, I would count DIY & The Military Channel as well (HGTV too minus “Design Star” & “America's Handyman” which aren't permanent programming, just short 10 or so episode seasons), but obviously you don't have actors/sets/scripts/etc so it's all real. Also National Geographic Wild & TVLand for the most part, they respectively repeat “Dog Whisperer” & “Extreme Home Makeover” but all these channels (as far as I can tell) don't currently have programming with 'real' people being followed with cameras like “Real Housewives”, “Kardashians”, “Jersey Shore”, “Bridezillas”, etc, or contest/elimination based shows, “Big Brother, “American Idol”, “Project Runway”, etc.
If you mean networks with literally nothing but scripted programming then go with the first four I mentioned.

This thread is old but part of the info is wrong in the above post.

Disney XD had 2 Reality Shows. One was an Xtreme Sports competition where the winner would be showcased at the 2011 Winter X Games.below is old media reports on the shows

"The six-episode series, sponsored by Sega's Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games, will feature star athletes Simon Dumont, Andreas Wiig, Sammy Carlson and Chas Guldemond as they mentor young amateur competitors to become the next big action sports performer, said Disney XD officials.

The top competitor will be crowned the "Winter Next X" and get the opportunity to showcase their skills during the Winter X Games 14, which Disney XD sister network ESPN owns and operates.

A summer version of Next X that aired on Disney XD in 2009 reached 24.7 million total viewers and 4.3 millions boys 6 to 11."

In 2011 They did a Reality show on a ship. “Fort Boyard – Ultimate.

" The show will premiere on the channel on October 17th and so far 10 half-hour episodes have been ordered. The show originated overseas and has been adapted in almost 40 countries! The show is about six teams of four teenagers from the US and the UK competing in mental and physical challenges in order to conquer the fort! “Fort Boyard” will be hosted by Geno Segers".

It returned for a 2nd season in Jan of this year.

I don't think Nickelodeon or Disney Channel have any real reality shows. They do have game shows, and prank shows, but those type of shows have been around long before reality tv became a genre.

Networks believed Fry from Futurama when he said "They don't want something original, they want to see the same thing they've seen a thousand times before."

I hate reality TV too. I threw up in my mouth when I heard that Australia(where I live) was bringing back Big Brother.
