The petition has reached 8000 signatures. Please sign.

Come on people, let's give it our best.

Of the boasted 250 million unique visitors per month, only a small percentage are registered users. The people who sign this petition are users who generate way more content and traffic than John and Mary who accidentally click on an IMDb link during some google search. I, for one, have sent various IMDb links with various occasions to dozens of people, and so have you. We are the source for a "non-trivial" (to quote Col) percentage of those 250 million unique visitors.

The most popular movie, The Shawshank Redemption, has only 1,765,944 votes.

If 5000, or 15000 of us sign it, it should mean something.

If it doesn't work (it might, though), here's an alternative site. https://www.imdforums.com/

People, please stop it with these petitions. The IMDb boards will be disabled on the 20th. All these petitions are not going to halt the closing of the boards. It's time for you people to move on.
