School project: What effects do the movies that we watch have?

So im doing a school project and the topic is: Movies: What effects do the movies that we watch have? And one of the questions i ask is whether there are any movies that have effected society. So basically my question to you all on this forum is if there are any movies that might have had an effect and what those effects where. I have already gotten some suggestions:
These are the films previously mentioned:
Birth of a nation (1915)
Noah's Ark (1999)
Battleship Potemkin (1925)
Saturday Night Fever (1977)
The Jazz Singer (1927)
JAWS (1975)
Star Wars: The complete series (1977-)
Triumph des Willens (1935)
Casablanca (1942)
The Wizard of Oz (1939)
The Sound of Music (1965)
The Shawshank Redemption (1994)
The Exorcist (1973)
The Green Mile (1999)
Cannibal Holocaust (1980)
Star Trek: The movie series (1979-)

Any answer is appreciated.

Some documentaries have changed society. I just googled it and found these articles with examples:

Sometimes movies that are very popular have an influence on clothing styles and hairstyles. For example, Roman Holiday influenced hairstyles in Japan, according to http://www.tcm.com/tcmdb/title/4096/Roman-Holiday/articles.html.

Your Name (the highest grossing anime film of all time) caused an increase in tourism in some locations, according to http://en.rocketnews24.com/2016/11/26/city-that-inspired-settings-in-hit-anime-your-name-sees-unbelievable-boost-in-tourist-dollars/.

It's probably not common for a single movie to have a big effect on a person, but I think watching a lot of movies over a long period of time will change a person, just like real-life experiences will change a person. You can also learn a lot from movies, about different cultures, and about different ways of thinking.

In 1934 Clark Gable took his shirt off in "It Happened One Night" and had no undershirt on. Undershirt sales plummeted nationwide afterwards.
T-shirt sales stayed low until 1951 when Marlon Brando starred in "A Streetcar Named Desire" and wore t-shirts throughout, and most notably a torn t-shirt. and then men started to wear more t-shirts only.

And, of course movies critique or reinforce culture.
