I love to watch soaps and drama on tv, but am so fed up with the reality shows now. Does anyone else agree that they have over done it with them now?
Roll on drama, small snatches of escapism in a hectic world.
With the cancellation of "Guiding Light" and the sabotaging of "As the World Turns" it appears to me that the networks want to flood the afternoon with talk shows and more Judge Whoever shows. It's the end of civilization!

I'm just a "casual" soap fan, but I agree completely. Heck, I'd even prefer the awful Australian soap "Number 96" over some of these idiotic "reality" programs.

I hate that Passions moved to Direct TV and had their series finale so no more Passions. Days of Our Lives is still going those were the only two I really watch. Like you guys said I would rather watch a soap opera than watch reality shows. I try to watch re-runs on TV during the day or sometimes I'll watch the spanish soaps....lol just as long as it isn't reality shows.
shareI'm really disapointed at CBS right now! Knowing that As The World Turns is getting cancelled this September. They could've renew the show for another three or four years. That would've gave them time to do some changes to the show. Like new settings, new cameras make the look in HD, new writers to give us storylines for our soap vets and a new theme opening.
shareIagree!!! I NEVER watch those phony reality shows. Just a bunch of 'wannabes" who need attention. Scripted and planned "reality". What a fraud.
