Fan rallies pay off!
Great news for fans of both All My Children and One Life to Live which were unceremoniously cancelled by ABC in April. The production rights will be assumed by an internet group which promises to continue the shows on cyberspace. Agnes Nixon, who created the two daytime dramas almost half a century ago is very gratified that enthusiastic viewers played a part in causing ABC to sell the serials to a company which believed in them. When soap operas made the transition from radio to television in the early 1950's, who would have imagined they'd resume the journey from network television to internet cyberspace in 2011?
