YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS fans...where are you?
shareHere's one
shareAre the writers losing their grip? Another Kay Chancellor is pretending to be dead? Anyone watching in 1979 will remember when she was haunting Jill, playing the organ at midnight! LOL.
shareKatherine is not pretending to be dead...clearly you've missed a large portion of this storyline.
shareWoot Woot! Huge fan here...What I don't understand is why does everyone on that show seem to sleep around?? I'm ready for more originality.
shareI'm here! Watched it until Victor Newman was well established as owner of Jabot, after two attempts to return it to John's Abbot's control. Sometime before Catherine was kidnapped with amnesia for her money (again), when I completely lost track of what's going on.
I'm well acquainted with story lines from the earliest days, through the late 90s.
In particular, I remember when David Hasselhoff played Jill's older brother, Snapper Foster. Nobody seems to mention that in his biographical web sites. ;-)
Dana (Toronto)
Did you see David Hasselhoff's recent return to the show as Snapper?
shareWell, Isaac, I'm late to your Y&R party but here goes. I've watched for many, many moons! I've had a love/hate relationship with the show for about as long as I've been a viewer. I thought the "Hoff" embarrassed himself last fall with
that lame performance. I HATED the double doppelganger storyline! Here's a storyline I would like to see: Summer turns out to be the biological daughter of
Jack. If you remember, when Phyllis was pregnant the father could have been Nick
or Jack. Phyllis went into labor while trapped in an elevator with Jack. Jack
saved both mother and daughter by successfully delivering the baby. Because of this he has always had a special feeling for Summer. Shortly thereafter, Nick and Jack took a paternity test. Everyone concerned was supposed to meet in Nick's office to get the results of test (which were being hand-delivered from the lab! Yeah, right!) Anyway, the courier arrived early while Nick was alone.
He took delivery of the results, opened the envelope, stared at the paper for a few moments, then folded the paper, put it in his pocket and left. Soon the others arrived to find an empty office, but they knew the results had arrived because the empty envelope was on Nick's desk. Nick would not answer his phone and stayed away for about a day and a half. When he re-surfaced he simply stated
"I am the father" and no one seemed to question it. (After all, Phyllis had only slept with Jack once.) Here's how I see it playing out. Summer needs a blood transfusion or bone marrow or something and it is revealed that Nick is NOT the father. Nick comes clean that at the time he so desperately wanted to be the father of Phyllis's baby that he lied. He was still grieving the loss of Cassie and the end of his marriage to Sharon and he NEEDED to be the baby's father. Of course, Jack is beyond furious! He has been cheated out of these precious childhood years with Summer and his hated of and rivalry with Nick soar
to epic proportions as he seeks revenge! Phllis also turns on Nick setting up
a real reunion between Nick and Sharon. Whew! Wonder if they openings over there
for writers! I get a little carried away sometimes. What do you think of my storyline?
"Can I ask a dumb question?"
"Better than anyone I know!"
ok honestly no sure where to post this but its important. There was a song played on The Young and The Restless June 16, 2005 during a scene with Daniel and Lily. They were trying on clothes. It was a male voice, kind of slow. Here are all of the lyrics from the part of the song that was played:
"dancing to the firelight
celebration is ours tonight
the song of love is in our hearts
dancing with the stars
no more cold and lonely nights
no more wishing by starlight
the song of love is in our hearts
dancing with the stars
and if I climb the mountain
and if I sail across the sea
and if I fly to the stars above
I will take you with me
I will take you with me yeah"
what is the title and artist please?
