Casting for a new Channel 5 soap

Aryan Avenue is a new Channel 5 soap which got green-lit after both BBC and ITV rejected it and finances for the production fell through in 2008.
Casting begins in the coming weeks for actors and extras in supporting roles.
Cast confirmations thus far are Jason Donovan, Jennifer Ellison, Danieela Westbrook, Michelle Collins, and Fleur Roche.
Budding actors both male and female must be blonde and white.

I guess as it's now 3 years on that this new Channel 5 soap idea fell through. A shame as the cast list mentioned looked quite good.
