U know those people who still look down on comics/superheroes like to rehash all these "its silly" stigma...but what about Harry Potter, shouldnt they consider that more silly...flying on broomsticks, magic wand,etc ?! I dont get why they only say superheroes are silly/campy but say nothing on Harry Potter. My guess is Harry Potter is from a NOVEL so they BOW down to it.

Well most the action in Harry Potter takes place in a mythical land, where you can accept it being what it is. As for Comics, you are to believe it is happening on your door step and that it's more grounded in a reality you could envisage.
