Old Blu-Ray of Starship Troopers Won't Play in New Blu-Ray Player

Anyone know why this is? I figured in a new blu-ray player all firmware issues from earlier blu-ray players would be resolved and the movie would play just fine.

Plus this is one of Sony (who owns Columbia Pictures who made the film)'s own titles! One would think there'd be no problem playing a Sony/Columbia title in a Sony blu-ray player, a BDP-S1100!

Anyone else's blu-ray player having a problem playing Starship Troopers? Is the problem just with just my disc or the entire run? A friend of mine purchased this same title and it won't play in his Sony blu-ray player either. Is there a newly remastered version? I see no signs of physical damage on the disc itself.

Naturally I love and enjoy the film very much and would like very much to see it in high-def!
