Why is that Modern Family gets a lesser number of acting nominations every year? Before the nominations, I was sure that Sofia Vergara and Jesse Tyler Ferguson were going to be nominated because they never won. Ed O'Neill hasn't been nominated as many times as they did, but it would have been nice if he won.

Now I'm even convinced that it won keep it's winning streak for Outstanding Comedy Series again. It won 5 times already, which is actually record-breaking, but now I don't see that happening this time.

Why is that Modern Family gets a lesser number of acting nominations every year?
A lot has to do with all the changes of rules. Actors who give dramatic performances in dramedies can submit themselves in the Comedy categories.
