I was a little dissapointed that Andy Samberg...
known for S.N.L. and The Lonely Island, wasn't in a lot of sketches and didn't sing live. In fact, the "What's going on at the red carpet?" bit was shockingly basic in terms of comedy rules. We didn't need Andy narrating what was going on.
One of my all-time favorite Emmy moments was in 2004 where they showed a montage of all the classic shows that ended that year. They did it again this year, but they didn't include classics only. I think that was better.
I was ashamed that I had completely forgotten about Tracy Morgan's accident. After making his 1st joke, I thought he was going to say "What? Did you forget I was a comedian? Now, logically, I've been asked to present Outstanding Drama Series."
