5 Horror/Thriller Movie Sub-Genres That Need to Make a Comeback.

Do you agree? Here are my thoughts:
1) This one is one of the most (if not the most) formulaic sub-genres. I can always count the tropes, specially when the villain is a stalker (they always die). The reason why its popularity faded was because of the rise of online porn. Sex scenes stopped being enough of a hook to watch a movie.
2) I admit I haven't seen a lot of movies of this sub-genre but, from what I've, I do think it should come back. There still are some modern filmmakers who have proven that there still is an audience for colorful and stylish horror movies.
3) That term is negative by definition, right?
4/5) As long as the movie is good overall, these sub-genres can work.

Interesting list.

1) I don't think this has much chance of a comeback and most people wouldn't care much anyway.

2) I always wondered why there hasn't been a resurgence of the giallo recently. If westerns can have a comeback, then why not gialli? Especially considering that westerns are relatively difficult to make, you need period sets, costumes, horses etc. I think even a giallo TV show would be a good idea.

3) Well, Avatar was a gimmick movie sort of and it started a whole trend of similar gimmick movies, so, no thanks, stuff like that is just silly.

4)Never really been a huge fan of animal horror, but why not?

5) This is something that might work better on TVwhere you have more time developing a complex conspiracy.

I mean the 3D.

But 3D existed long before AVATAR.
