someone's gonna get fired
You can probably guess how long it's been since I've been to Burger King. I think I paid $2.99+tax the last time I ordered a standard Whopper meal. Are they seriously trying to suggest that $10 is a steal for two Whopper meals? I get exactly the opposite reaction to that line. I instantly think someone should be fired for overcharging. It makes me wonder how far price increases have heightened at fast food joints to imply that $5 is vastly undercharging for a basic meal. A standard Whopper meal still consist of the burger, fries and a small drink, right?
I haven't really frequented fast food since March of 94, but I am thinking that because I never much cared for Burger King, I possibly discontinued that place in the late 80s. That $2.99 may be on the high end for 87 as well. Oh well, it does not much matter these days. Except, I do clearly remember paying $2.99 for a Whopper meal at some point. One thing is for certain, I will not be buying a single or this double Whopper meal special in 2016 at those prices, and I am surprised anyone else would even consider it.
