The fat ''personal trainer''

Who is the fat guy who tells Turbo Tax that he's now a personal trainer? He's also in another talking about renting his house as a B&B.

DJ Khaled.

I renew my question: who is he?

Apparently, he is a morbidly obese fitness trainer/couch potato. That did not look like a fat suit! He may have convinced Turbo Tax with nearly all of his might on his legitimacy, but he still has the IRS out there.

I don't know if Turbo Tax was trying to be funny, but this time they went a few steps too far.

Sure, you can now prepare your taxes on your mobile from the comfort of your couch, but should you?

Maybe he can pull a Richard Simmons and get a late night infomercial deal. That would cement his tax legitimacy, especially, if he actually loses the weight.

Of course, it's meant as a joke. Just like the one with Kathy Bates living in the haunted house as well as the series of H&R Block ads with John Hamm. You're taking this WAY too seriously.

Maybe, I am. It was still in poor taste. The Kathy Bates one was extremely weird, but it did not point out her major flaw and mock her with it. John Hamm dating a hag is also pretty bizarre for a tax commercial. What is up with tax commercials in 2017? One thing is for certain this year's batch is not bland. It seems to be a race to one up each other in most outlandish concept.

I'll give them credit tax commercials have historically been as boring as doing taxes, so I'll take this new industry direction as remarkable.

Hamm isn't "dating a hag" in his commercial, he's working on a zombie movie and the woman he's talking to is an extra. If you look at all of Hamm's commercials, you'll see that he's working on various movies.
