C.N. Lazarev on the Russian Problem (2021, my translation)

I have given more thought into the main question regarding the future of Russia, and what must be decided in the upcoming year of 2021. The main issue at hand pertains to the country’s survival, because a very critical crisis is upon us; an aimless, poverty-stricken people and its thieving bureaucrats—the country is on the brink. We can certainly hate the officials, curse them, and even dream of the revolution that will overthrow them, but such destruction parallels the parable of the slain dragon, whose conqueror then becomes the dragon. Evil must be defeated on an inner level, which is our subconscious.

It is easier to control a slave. The pagan mindset stipulates that there must always be a slave and a master. In order to turn one into a slave, God must delegate his rights to the owner, so that the owner then worries himself about feeding the slave, maintaining certain living standards, and taking care of his health. In such a system, the slave’s only role is to keep himself sated and to continue to work for his master. On the surface, such a system seems to be the epitome of happiness, as there are no problems or concerns. This is the concept of communism. That is, an incomplete understanding of what it means to be happy, subsequently leading to the construction of a government and its party that manifested this understanding of happiness. The only condition on behalf of the slave is to sign away all of his rights.

Why do the Russian elites openly state that the people are rabble and sheep? We can certainly say that those in charge are bad people, openly mocking their citizens, but can there perhaps be a reason for their apathy as, after all, we cannot call those less fortunate less sinful or sacred. The answer is passivity. The individual who does not fight for his or her rights or to make their situation better will always be stepped on. Why don’t the Russian people defend their rights? The Russian mindset was formulated, like all other civilizations, off of religious canon. It is accepted that Christianity lies within Catholicism, Eastern Orthodoxy, and Protestantism, but if we are to take an objective worldview, none of them can truly be classified as real Christianity.

2000 years ago, the Jewish people were chased for committing villainy against Christ, but we see today that it was the followers of Christ who committed the more egregious and minacious offense—distorting his teachings. Christ said that the individual must continuously evolve; that in his essence, he is divine. This divinity is what grants him a sublime and unfulfilled potential that man must endeavor to fulfill. Christ liberated the people, bestowing them not only an inner freedom against dependency, attachment, and sin, but an outer freedom, allowing them to tap into their potential and ability to act on the physical world. Why, then, have the teachings of Christ been tainted? Because people did not understand its essence.

The teachings of Christ are predicated on one ultimate premise, which is that man, in his essence, is divine.

It is vital to distinguish between the true teachings of Christ, and the teachings of religious organizations which were formed in the first century of our common era and which were under the direct control and management of government. The implications of having a religion followed by the people that have misunderstood its basic tenets leads to human logic overcoming God’s logic. Christ’s teaching was that everyone is a child of God. “Our Father” is emphasized, not “my father,” but when Christ was said to be God, Christ protested that there is only one God, and that it was blasphemy to consider him as such.

Followers of Christ, by proclaiming him to be God, committed a critical error, but have done so in order to maintain the stronghold and authority of the church; to maintain the stronghold and authority of religion; and to maintain the stronghold and authority of finance. Why? Because by proclaiming that Christ is God, the merchants of religion have solidified the church as the body of Christ. By declaring that only Christ is the child of God, representatives of religion closed off the path toward God. By marking man as sinful by nature, as incomplete, these same representatives dissolved the unity between man and God, which is vital for love. Love is a complete and unified force. When the caste of the pure and virtuous was set against the caste of the sullied and sinful, this marked the dissolution of love and faith. When the believer is marked as sinful, he becomes dependent. When the church is marked as the body of Christ, then the church adopts god-like qualities, granting it enormous privilege. If the church is seen as the temple of God, and God is infallible, then the church is unable to commit sin, granting it immunity from criticism, control, and punishment.

Through religion, the officials of state and government have taken penal and moral control of the administrative apparatus. And through this have planted the mine which has replaced Christianity with paganism. Human logic is the logic is mammon, benefit, and power, which have been facilitated through Christianity, by distorting its foundation: Christ became God; People have become tainted and imperfect. By marking people as imperfect, there is not only no longer a path toward God, but there is no longer a path toward anything. Instead of striving toward holiness, the purpose of Christianity became entering God’s kingdom in Heaven. What is Heaven? No one truly knows. Heaven is merely seen as a place of endless pleasure and happiness, absent suffering. It is the temple of hedonism. By allowing the church to forgive sin, striving toward God no longer became a consideration. When the priest prays for you, forgives your sins for you, and acts on your behalf, you lose agency, and now become dependent on the church. Protestantism, at least in this regard, was correct when it did not believe in a proxy between man and God. The more this dependent relationship is allowed to grow, the more akin it becomes to slavery. It is in this way, that erroneous religious dogma has turned people into inward slaves. The retreat from Orthodox Christianity toward Catholicism was an attempt at compensating the errors of the oldest Christian sect. Catholicism attempted to strengthen the importance of the individual, the importance of the material aspect of the world, and the importance of money and labor. In other words, Catholicism brought about the semblance of a dialectic. If the orthodox church only worshipped spiritual values, then the catholic church added temporal values. In this way, it became more attractive than orthodoxy.

The aimlessness of the Russian people is rooted in its dogmatic history. Eastern Orthodoxy is viewed as highly dogmatic, both in its belief of the sinful nature of man, of his imperfection, and of his deserved status as a sheep that must be herded. Through this, a notion was formed, averring that those on top are infallible, immune to criticism, and that the people have no right to protest or express individual thought by virtue of their sinful and imperfect nature. The state and government are de facto divine, as they control the church, which is seen as the proxy for Christ and ascension. This branching between the elites and the people invariably led to the dissolution of both groups and government. The Czar was seen as carrying the message of God, officials as above the law and the people, and this Russian tendency stifled any spiritual development. To this day, Russia does not punish its authority-figures, while the common man can be sentenced to 5-10 years for a misdemeanor. This reaches beyond corruption. It is a mindset, believing that government is always right, cannot be controlled, and can only be changed from atop, never from below. Not only did Orthodox religion constantly reaffirm this worldview, but communism as well, as under communism, criticism of the party was impossible, reform was impossible, and punishment of a party member’s misdeeds was impossible.
