Someone Has Already CLONED The Boards For Us Posters

I'm very sceptical that it will work out well, but will give it a shot.

Reason for being scepticism is that a really thriving and busy board needs to be an open system that has new people coming in to compensate for the ones that decide to stop posting. I'm not sure how that will happen with the new forum. Also, I think it would have been better winnowing it down to just a few sub-forums, as the diversification of different forums on IMDb is part of what caused them to become depleted (The Soapbox is the best example of this). Also, IMDb was excellent because there is a wall between the administrators and the posters. From personal experience, I know that it tends to become a bit sticky when the admins/moderators are part of the 'community' and their friends are lobbying them to do favours by deleting such and such a thread; or banning such and such a poster.

It could be a balloon. It could be Franky. It could be very fresh and clean. It could be those ways.

posters who are also administrators never mesh well. and if they are christians as well, you might as well resurrect carrie nation from the dead and from a kumbaya cirle jerk from the get-go.

What do you mean "cloned"? Nothing has been cloned, they just made a new ditsy little forum which will definitely not work as a replacement!.

It's not possible to clone the IMDB forum because there was a board for every movie in the database. Also saying "cloned" suggests that existing discussions were copied over which of course they have not.

You definitely need to sign up. What message board is complete without its quota of @ssholes?
