HD resolutions
So the basic resolutiions these days are 480i, 480p, 720p, 1080i, and 1080p. Why is there no 720i?
shareI think it's because there's no need for 720i. 480i was needed to be compliant with the old NTSC interlaced TV. 1080i was a compromise because 1080p compliant displays required excessively high scan rates.
