What projector are you using? What are you pining for?

I use a Hitachi Home 1, which is LCD based. I've had it since the spring of 2005 and have put close to 1000 hours on the original bulb. Even though it is only 480p resolution and I have about a ten foot wide screen, everyone who sees it is still blown away. I plan on using it until the LCD panels go bad, which is hopefully a at least another 1000 hours from now. When it does though I'm hoping the price of a true 1080p is below $1000. Any other PJ users out there?

I get to use the Cinemeccanica Vic 5. 35mm projection at it's best.

Hopefully we'll soon get the Christie DLP's installed.

Sony VPH1271Q CRT projector here. can output 720p and purchased for $400 used (however apparently the bulbs can last 20K hours and had ~3K on them) see link below for images (they are from a few years ago so i have upgraded some stuff since then).

I have been to some other people's places with some nice setups but all TV based (Plasma, LCD...), can be nicer for gaming but for movies nothing beats a projector.
