I miss 35 mm

I go to the movies a lot..especially the last few years because I work at a theater and we get free ones. Anyways, all the theaters in my town have converted to DLP technology..they did about 3 or 4 years ago. It really does have a sharper image and everything and that's great sometimes. However, I kind of miss the grainy quality of 35 mm after it's been shipped from location to location...there's just something about it that seems right. It feels more like a theater that way.

Anyone agree?

Every once in a while the theater gets a 35 mm, just a few times a year. We got Charlie Bartlett and P.S. I Love You in that format. I loved charlie Bartlett that way. We never get major movies in 35 mm and I was actually surprised those 2 were, especially since outside the auditorium it has a sign that reads "This auditorium features DLP technology by texas instruments" yada yada yada.

I kind of miss the grainy quality of 35 mm after it's been shipped from location to location... 35mm prints are sharper than digital projection if exhibited correctly. They do not get grainer through use or shipment.
