connecting computer to tv
Hi, I recently bought a lcd screen tv and hooked up my computer to it. I can't figure out how to make the sound come out of the tv instead of the computer. Any ideas?
shareI presume you're hooking up via a VGA cable (thingie with 15 pins, side screws to hold it in place) rather than an HDMI (flattish thingie). Your TV ought to have an audio input that's associated with that VGA input--most likely a 1/8" mini jack, less likely a pair of RCA jacks. You'll need to connect your computer's speaker output (a mini jack) to the TV's input using a male-to-male (miniplug) stereo cable.
