Time for a new smartphone. Recommendations please?
I want something with power, speed and clarity. But I don't want one of those batteries with a 20 minute life.

shareI hear that...
Love you, "C" - RIP Clarence Clemons
I've read a couple reviews on the Samsung Galaxy S Vibrant and it seems to be held in high esteem. You might want to check that one out. I'm leaning towards it at this point.
all the silence is worse than all the violence
HTC Evo4G!it's a great smart phone and like the comercial say's "you should see all the nice things people are saying about this phone"!

i love my samsung captivate.
shareive gone through a bunch of phones lately, battery life is appalling on all of them. i think my acer liquid e had the best battery performance, but felt rather flimsy. ive had a few htc's of varying flavors and i find they get super dooper hot, hotter than others when used for a while.
the key to saving bat life is turning all the fun stuff off, bright screen, various social apps and so on.
my recommendation would be, buy the phone you really like, and sod the battery power since the technology isnt what the ad's claim it is ..yet
Droid Pro has a tactile keyboard and fits in a shirt pocket well.
As for battery life, it can be ok if you make sure to switch the screen off and limit GPS use a bit.
Overall pretty decent in most ways, Motorola (now owned by Google) with Verizon in my case.
