Changing Iphone 3G for a Samsung Galaxy?

Hey folks. Was thinking about changing this Iphone I've had for a year, which I bought from a friend so it's 2 years old, and works kinda slowly, but it works. Other than Samsungs, I don't feel atracted to any other brand. So I was looking online for some Samsung Galaxy S (AKA i9000 if I'm not mistaken?). Not S2 as those are waaaaay too expensive here. Would I make a good deal out of it or should stick to Apple's gadget?

If you can recomend any other phone, It'll still be helpfull.

Must have the basics: WiFi/3G/MP3/Good camera (if possible, with flash and HD filming cappabilities).

Hey!
I never had good experiences with samsungs.. If you can, go for a sony android phone such as the xperia S.. It's a killer.. iphone doesn't even come close :-).

I've been an iphone user for several years, and just made the switch to a Samsung Galaxy Note a few hours ago. It's definitely a big change. I love the huge screen and have never been one that uses a smartphone as an actual phone. I think the iphone may be easier to navigate, but that may only be because I'm used to it.

I am noticing that I can do more on the Android, like more YouTube videos are available. I think Android is also Flash capable, though I could be wrong. I miss my iphone keyboard! Overall, I am happy with the change.

I am IMDb's resident thread-killer. Apparently.

@Anonnamus Try the SlideIT Keyboard for Android, I used it on my HTC Desire and it's better than the iPhone keyboard I'm using now.
