YR my iPods doing this?!
(Not at home now, so the bit at the end about having the most recent iTunes version is from memory, but...)
I splurged in the last couple of years on two iPods. The older one is an 8-Gig Nano in that groovy metallic series of colors. It holds only my "On-the-Go" playlist. The newer one is WAY new: the latest model Classic, with enough capacity for my entire library, from which it even sorts the songs INTO my playlists.
So here's the multiple problem:
My older Nano, when updated, synched and recharged, has no problem holding all the songs in its shorter playlist, even when the iTunes program says it had problems dowloading ten (or however many) songs, because the source was not found, and that those songs should not be on the iPod. I look at the Nano screen once it's been disconnected, and there they are. I can even listen to the supposedly "lost" songs to make sure they downloaded.
My NEWER Classic, with the humongous capacity, does NOT successfully download those same "missing" songs even when I insert the CD they're from into my disc drive while synching it!
WTF?!
Anyone here have any explanations or, better yet, solution?
And yes, I'm pretty sure I updated my iTunes version recently.
If our philosophy on life can be summed up in a bumper sticker, we're in deep doodoo.
