Strongly Considering Kindle
I just want to rent movies and watch them on a tablet. I tired long ago of buying DVDs and watching them in the DVD player. They're just not worth the money anymore because they load them with all this extra stuff that I don't have time to watch and don't want to pay for.
I'm strongly considering Kindle. I'm intrigued by the prospect of renting movies and watching them just once or maybe even joining Amazon Instant Prime and having that as my movie/TV service. (I don't care for Apple's iTunes store and I've always had a much better experience purchasing mp3s from Amazon -- only if I have to. I prefer CDs, which I listen to in my car.)
To those who have Kindle: Do you have to pay a monthly Internet access fee to access the Internet just to visit Amazon.com, or does Kindle automatically hook you up to Amazon free of charge so that you only have to pay for what you download from Amazon? Also, what do you do when Amazon keeps releasing new versions of Kindle (which seems to be the thing these days with all of these devices)?
I would appreciate any help or suggestions Kindle users have.
Thank You
