Which would you suggest the iPad mini or the MacBook Air?

I recently got a second job and require something lightweight and portable, but something I can easily take notes/type on. I was considering replacing my perfectly functioning white MacBook with the MacBook air. However, I figured that I might need a tablet sometime in the future and am also considering buying the iPad mini with the detachable Logitech bluetooth keyboard.

I am leaning more towards the iPad mini since my MacBook is working quite well. However, my only concern is finding good luxury brand caseswhich do not seem to be availableto protect it from scratches. I do not believe that an Hermès silk scarf would suffice.

Just tell your personal assistant to find someone who can make a chinchilla-lined alligator skin case.

Or get a Toshiba Portege and don't worry about it. Or deliberately "distress" the case with fine sandpaper.

Get the iPad Mini if you already have your laptop.
The iPad works great, the battery last almost your whole day, the Internet opens very fast and it doesn't take ours to be turned on, your other choice could be the Microsoft surface.

Which is a tablet and a computer at the same times, it already comes with a keyboard and comes with office installed for free which is great for writing notes, making your presentations and lists.
