Will you queue for an Apple watch? If so why?

I know this question is old as the hills, but it's my first time asking.

Will you queue for one of the watches, or have you lined up for an Iphone etc? Why?

Is it because you feel like you'll be left behind in your social group, or do you want to be some kind of leader in your social group?

Do you look at it as having something interesting to talk about?

Surely it can't be any kind of thrill about having slightly better tech for the sake of it, that novelty must wear off after about ten minutes, no?

I'm the sort of person who won't even queue to get into a bar or club, so I'm confused by the whole Apple (in particular) phenomenon.

Not trying to start any shyt, I'm genuinely curious.

...then whoa, differences...

reply

Absolutely not. Although I'm in the tech industry, I'm not a bandwagon jumper and will only buy something when I feel that I need it. There's no gadget worth me camping out overnight. I bought my first smartphone just 5 months ago (holiday season).

In the tech industry and only just got a smart phone?

That's some hard-core holding out, props!

This tech stuff is tiring even for me.

Hilarious. I'm a tech guy too and I've had about 30 phones since the T-Mobile G1.

But to answer your question, no freaking way. Not even if crApple gave it away.

Auf Wiedersehen to your nazi balls!

reply

No. Why? Well, I already have a smart watch, and have no need to replace it.

If had a tween daughter who "just had to" meet the latest boy band, I might stand in line for her happiness. I wouldn't queue for some consumer electronics bauble though.
