General audio question

Hey,

So I just bought a nice TV (C865inch) a couple months ago, and while I'm not going to be throwing down the money on anything else right now, all the posts about people's audio setups here have got me tempted to start saving.

So I'm wondering then, what is the minimum amount of money to expect to spend on a setup that is actually worth the money over the default TV speakers? Thanks for any input, feel free to ask for more specifics about my situation if it helps, I'm not sure what to include in this post as I am very new to the home theater-ish space having upgraded from a $300 TV to a $2500 tv.
