QUESTION - Turtle Beach P11 PS3 headphones

I just bought a pair of P11's so I can play my games without my girlfriend having to hear the guns and screaming and zombies groans :) The sound for Me is excellent, however she can still hear the sound perfectly well, too. The instruction booklet says the headphones are supposed to block noise so others cannot hear. I'm wondering if anyone else has the same issue? Do you recommend another brand that's better at cancelling sound?

Maybe you've just got the volume turned up too loud.

Usually, closed back headphones that fit over the ear (as opposed to sitting on the ear) block more sound. The best of those will be aircraft or industrial headsets. http://www.davidclark.com/store/ProductDetails.aspx?productID=866

In-ear 'phones will be a more cost-effective approach. If any sound leaks out, wear a pair of over-the-ear hearing protectors; that's what I do when I want to have music while I'm doing something very noisy.
