Do you mean you want to watch DVD's from the player on the TV?
If so the best way to get an answer for your question is to list the model of the TV. Does it even have inputs beside the one for antenna/cable?
Also list the model of DVD player.

Use either the composite RCA-type cable

OR

the Y/C or S-video cable

The composite RCA-type cable is the exact same type of cable you connect audio components to your audio receiver. On your TV, it should be colored yellow.

The Y/C or S-video cable is a 5-prong connector with 2 sets of 2 prongs and the 5th prong being a wide prong.

The Y/C or S-video cable separates color from the black-and-white or luminance part of the picture, so it makes the picture look better, with none of the purplish moire sheen from black threads on white shirts, for example, that you see in composite video when color and luminance are combined.

If your TV has component analog or HDMI, these are the Holy Grail of image quality.

Component analog has 3 RCA cable connectors, 1 for luminance or the black-and-white part of the picture, 2 for the 2 color-difference signals. Together, these three cables make up the color picture. Eliminating any cross-color artifacts, colors are pure and vibrant.

HDMI is a digital interface. Its connection and cable look like a wide rectangle with triangular-shaped corners. It produces a picture that looks similar to component analog, using only 1 cable and connection instead of 3. Simpler is better!

Avoid using the 75-ohm "pin" connector, unless there is no other option, because it produces picture noise and is thus the worst option.
