Why do Digital HD (iTunes, Amazon) movies and DVDs cost almost the same?
The Picture and Audio quality of Digital HD movies are way better than those of their DVDs.
shareWarehouse space has value. It costs money to keep both Blu-ray and DVD copies of the same movie. With DVD being the obsolete format, people who want it aren't going to get any discount because they take up just as much shelf space as the Blu-rays. That's space that they could use to store more Blu-ray discs.
