I live in Canada and want to start getting into more British shows. I watch everything with Ant and Dec, I've seen Misfits, Mr bean, some american made British shows ( Tudors, Borgias, GoT), love/hate, little Britain and a couple EPs of Whose line is it Anyway. I don't understand some of the fast speaking accents like in coronation street or emmerdale.. I like the Geordie and cockney accents the best :-) I guess I need to learn more British slang haha. Any shows u can recommend?

Panel shows:QI, would I lie to you, never mind the buzzcocks, Radio shows(don't run away they are great): the unbelievable truth, John Finnemore's souvenir programme, Cabin Pressure (from Finnemore too)

Start with Coupling & Qi & Cabin Pressure....

There are some episodes of Brush Strokes on Youtube and, having been watching British TV reruns, I find it funnier than memory would have it.

Bluestone 42. It's a comedy about a bomb disposal unit in Afghanistan, the Scottish soldiers can be hard to follow but most of them speak clearly and it's really funny it's only got two seasons up to now it's on bbc three.
