Serious question about A FINE ROMANCE

Hopefully, some of you are really big fans of the show. Because I have a question, and it's driving me crazy. If you can answer it, I would really be grateful!

Back when I first started watching A FINE ROMANCE, I got all the way to season three, or season four (I don't remember), and then I never got to finish the show. Now I am about to finish the show, and something has been bugging me – Laura's sister.

I remember in one of the earlier episodes, she thinks she's going to have a baby, and then it ends up either being a false alarm, or a miscarriage. I was wondering if any of you might be able to tell me which episode that was. Because I know in one of the season three episodes, she announces that she's pregnant (was that for the second time?), and then a few episodes later, they have a son. So, what happened to the false alarm?

Any of you who might have this series on DVD or who remember the episodes well, please get back to me and let me know which episode it was, so I can better piece together the story in my mind. Thank you so much!
