Sitcom adaptations are pretty much bombproof.None of the shows that have been turned into films down the years have every really tried anything really ambitious. They never overspent on them and marketed to an existing audience. So they almost never lose money.
That list seems to be talking about the quality of the shows that were adapted. Mrs Brown D'Movie has made back its budget six times over and is a home video success. Not what I'd call a flop.
As for Guest House Paradiso, it's arguable it would have been more successful (though not better) if they'd kept the names and cashed in on the popularity of Bottom. Obviously they realised that they didn't want to stain Bottom's reputation with the crap film they had made.
