What has your weather

been like so far this winter?

We've only had one significant snow and it was only a couple of inches. The temperatures have flucuated greatly. It was more like a fall day today, with temperatures in the forties and a light, drizzly mist and some actual rain off and on all day. We had sixties but also freezing temps in December.

Our worst winter weather seems to come closer to the end of winter the past few years.

It seems we aren't going into deep winter or deep summer in recent years to me.

When we should be in the depth of winter or height summer we seem to always be getting
the wilder swings and fluctuations typical of March and April or October and November.

Super foggy tonight outside my house.

I heard a wolf howl outside the 7-11 and the cashier wished me luck as I left
and said best to stay off the moors tonight.

Our winter weather has been like the days before the drought. Rainy weather almost every week with snow in the mountains. Freezing in the low 20's when it's clear and lows in the 40's with the rain. The people who ski are loving the snow and our area is loving the rain.

Temps below zero Fahrenheit a lot of the time.
Maybe it'll warm back up again when the forest fire season returns?

Luckily we didn't have today's temps and winds yesterday. I saw little glittery snowflakes one time this afternoon. If it had been this cold yesterday, we would have had ice or snow instead of fog and rain.

I hear you elephant...the fog looked like something out of a monster movie. 

How much did you end up with total? We had almost three inches by this morning. I didn't have to work today, but the mail lady said the roads weren't terrrible. They did call off schools though because it was so cold. 

It was that fine, powdery snow that was easier to move with a broom than a shovel.
