Closing message from the Don
As I look around me, at all my friends, whom I have come to love and value, I cannot help but feel sadness. Many of us will never meet, again.
We had a good place, an entertaining place, to spend time together, to exchange opinions and anecdotes and jokes, and I am going to miss that, at least as much as any of you.
I've read your posts, and I feel that I truly have gotten to know many of you. If I didn't respond, it was because I didn't feel that I had anything topical to respond WITH. It's not always easy reaching out, when your RL was a shy fat kid, even if he's over 40 now.
The best of you made me feel welcome and accepted. The worst of you were no more than a pickable dry booger.
I will miss you, my friends.
So, we will have one last dinner at the Compound. All of you are invited. Bring anything you like. I will lay out the tables and the candles and the wine.
- Oh, SOMEbody asides me is gonna RUE this here particular day...
