I don't remember that feature at all... it must've been a short-lived experiment.
I have mixed feelings about posting pictures within the body of a post. I'm checking out some of these alternate IMDb sites that have sprung up, and already some of the threads are sort of crowded and congested because people have loaded large picture files into their posts. It takes a lot more scrolling and navigation just to get through threads on those sites, especially if you're browsing on a small laptop.
But OTOH, the IMDb method (whereby we can only post a clickable link) can lead to problems as well. If the link isn't identified, or incorrectly identified, it can take you to a place you don't want to go (or that your virus software might not even allow you to go). Also, when I click "back" to return to the thread, I find I have to reset the "nest" feature again.
I wish there was a way to post a clickable link AND have an accompanying small thumbnail automatically appear right next to it that previews what that link will take you to. That way you reduce clutter, and viewers can make a decision as to whether they want to click the link or not.
Don't mess with me, man! I know karate, judo, ju-jitsu... and several other Japanese words.
