William Shakespeare
What are your favorites from the greatest playwright of all time (also, from his poems and sonnets as well, if any)?

My favorite Shakespeare plays are:
Titus Andronicus, King Lear, Pericles, and Measure for Measure. I usually favor the Tragicomedies more; but I hated The Merchant of Venice.
It's a tossup between Macbeth and Hamlet.
I also love love love his sonnets, mainly 116, 2, and 33.
I love, love, love THE WINTER'S TALE. The idea that you can be forgiven even after doing something unforgivable carries a lot of emotional weight with me.
KING LEAR too. It's so strange and so powerful.
And LOVE'S LABORS LOST. The language is so beautiful that it's a musical comedy even without music.
They are my three favorites, but I love practically all of Shakespeare.
I would have to say that The Tempest is probably my favorite from him.
shareThe first one I saw was A Comedy Of Errors, when I was 9.
