I'm looking for a short one act (about 10-15 minutes). But i need one really well written or by a somewhat prominent playwright, i.e. nothing from those ransom "Acting Scenes" for classes books you can get. ANy ideas?

I am a film major/theatre minor. I first studied Shakespeare, comedy and drama at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts. At Georgia State University my course work has included both film and theatre. I write plays and screenplays, as well as romantic suspense novels. In the last 4 years both authors and screenwriters have employed me to edit their novels and screenplays. Recently, I was approached by a forma alum of Georgia State University who founded a new theatrical outlet called Left Stage LLC. Because I had edited a play and a screenplay for him, he thought of me when he wanted to hire a resident playwright. Back in March he mentioned 5 hot button topics on which to base 1-act or short plays. Since then I have written 11 plays of 6+4-7 pages each; and I am currently working on 2 new ones. I call them "The Ginny Albert Collection of Short Plays." Would you like to read them to see if anything catches your fancy? I'm sure we can work out a reasonable compensation package.
Even as you do not wish for "Acting Scenes" for classes books, I would welcome the opportunity to have my plays read in any classroom setting. Getting my name out there and parlaying the effort into a career is of the utmost importance. If you have a way for me to accomplish this I welcome any advice you care to provide.
