Mine was Under the Blue Sky in the Duke of York in London. I primarily went to see it as it had Catherine Tate in it. The play was... alright. The actors were all good, just some parts of it dragged and other parts were just unpleasant to watch (For example Catherine's character gets raped.) On the plus side, I got to meet Catherine afterwards and she was lovely.

It's been so long since I've seen a play but I think the last one I saw was Children of a Lesser God. It was shown at the Repertory theatre here.

I had the as-of-yet unequaled experience of seeing Lois Smith in The Trip to Bountiful last April during the plays all too brief run at the Goodman Theatre in Chicago, and rarely have I been so moved by a performance. The production and supporting cast were first-rate as well with special kudos going to the authors daughter, Hallie Foote, as Jessie Mae.
This production needs to make it to BW - why it didnt transfer after the enormously successful and extended off-BW run a few years ago I will never know.
Edith Head gives good wardrobe.
